The National University of Rwanda (NUR) ranked among institutions and individuals awarded by the National Police for good cooperation. This awards ceremony was held on16th June 2012 during the celebration of 12th anniversary of the establishment of the Rwandan National Police.
Speaking to the NUR News Reporter, the Rwandan National Police spokesperson, Superintendent Theos Badege explained that NUR was awarded because of its participation in the capacity building of the Rwandan National Police. Superintendent Badege said: “NUR was commended because of its efforts in capacity building to improve the police professionalism. There are many police officers who are studying at NUR and last year we signed a memorandum of understanding to open Law studies within the police academy and these studies have already begun during this 2012 academic year”.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Emmanuel K. Gasana commended all partners who on a daily basis facilitate the force to ensure national security.
